Best Quotes in the World

It is very hard to choose just several quotes and say that those are the best quotes in the world, but we can give you some suggestions. Quotes can be very helpful in some situations. If you feel bad about your own life, try reading some good quotes. They can help you see things much clearer and what’s more important – they can help you realize that everything must pass. Nothing lasts forever, so there is no need to be so sad. Even the painful situations can turn out to be good for you. Most of us are concerned about certainty and we are afraid of loss, fall and insecurity. But the very fact that you are afraid of something, makes you insecure, which further leads to weakness and misfortune.

Best Singer in the World

Who is the best singer in the world ever? A hard one, no doubt. In the history of music, there have been many and many great vocals – both male and female – so it’s really impossible to enumerate all of them.

But here are some whose voices will be remembered forever:
Freddie Mercury – no need to comment. His voice is not the only thing that he will be remembered for, but his personal charisma that made him an icon; Elvis Presley – the same can be said for Elvis, who is called ‘the King’ for a reason; Frank Sinatra; Jim Morrison; James Brown; Ray Charles; Stevie Wonder; Robert Plant; Paul McCartney; Anthony Kiedis; Bob Dylan; Johnny Cash; Eric Burdon (The Animals); John Lennon; Lou Reed.

Female favorites are also numerous: the astonishing Maria Callas; followed by several unforgettable ladies: Aretha Franklin, Janis Jopplin, Billy Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simone, Judy Garland, Edith Piaf; Joni Mitchell, Dani Klein, Whitney Houston, Annie Lennox, Sade, Shirley Bassey, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Randy Crawford, Bonnie Tyler; charismatic and fabulous Tina Turner; Debbie Harry (who still hasn’t lost even a bit of her energy, despite her age).

There are also several young ladies who have started their careers not so long ago, but nevertheless they have already accomplished great success: the young and pretty wild (a bit tragic) Amy Winehouse – the world is enchanted by her voice, but also scandalized by her private life.

Hope she will get back on the right track and continue to make great music. Beyonce Knowles – the quality of her performance has been proven for so many times. If we put aside some of her songs that are rather commercial and less artistic, we can say she is one of the best young singers today, speaking of voice.

Of course, tastes vary from person to person. But, still, who could ever deny their contributions and talent?

Best Song in the World

The question what is the best song in the world has been an opened issue and it will certainly remain so, since it is quite a subjective matter and depends on one’s taste. But there are definitely songs that marked the 20th century and the prolonged their influence till today.

According to the Rolling Stones Magazine, here are some of the songs that will probably never ‘grow old’: Like a Rolling Stone (Bo Dylan), Imagine (John Lennon), Satisfaction (The Rolling Stones), Hey Jude (The Beatles), Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), Yesterday (The Beatles), Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix), Hound Dog (Elvis Presley), Let It Be (The Beatles), In My Life (The Beatles) – it was also voted a song of the century in one Britain poll); Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin), Sympathy for the Devil (The Rolling Stones), River Deep, Mountain High (Tina Turner), Light My Fire (The Doors), All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix), Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon & Garfunkel), No Woman No Cry (Bob Marley), Hotel California (The Eagles), Whiter Shade of Pale (Procol Harum), Let’s Stay Together (Al Green), Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis), Pink Floyd with their “Another Brick in the Wall”, and many more of them.

Now those were just some of 500 listed songs. I admit I was subjective and mentioned some of my favorites. I almost forgot The Queen, but it would be hard to pick just one of theirs. The Rolling Stones Magazine listed “We Will Rock You”, but I myself would pick some other. Let’s see….maybe Bohemian Rhapsody.

It is interesting that the list isn’t genre-limited, so Dr. Dre may be found there with his “Nothing But a G Thang”. I glanced at the Rolling Stone List, but there are numerous polls with very similar results. So we can say that these songs are on the right track to be considered classics some day.
