Most Expensive Car in The World

It doesn’t matter if you have a lot of money to spend or you simply love cars – you must be wondering what the most expensive car in the world is and how much it costs. Affordable or not – it is always fun to keep up with auto trends and prices.

This obsession is not only a men thing – there are also ladies who share this passion. Sometimes a car reflects a status in society; some people see it as a toy. And for some it is a true passion regardless to the price.
The most expensive car in the world in 2010 is the Koenigsegg Trevita and its price is about 2.2 million dollars. Its name means “three white” in Swedish and this model is based on Koenigsegg CCXR.

If we put aside old-timers, Koenigsegg Trevita is the most expensive car in the world that is still in production. For the ones who can actually afford it there are only 3 Koenigsegg Trevitas in the total market. Even though this is the most expensive car, you should know it is not the fastest in the world. Maximum speed this car can reach is 250 miles per hour.

Next most expensive car in the world is Bugatti Veyron with two million dollars price or 1.68 millions for a coupe version.

This model also has a title of the fastest roadster in the world. Not many people can afford Bugatti Veyron which is why only fifty Veyrons are produced per year. An interesting fact is that this model of Bugatti is designed by the Skoda engineers (Volkswagen group). Production costs of Bugatti Veyron are equal to one third of the car’s price itself. Many exclusive items are included, like powerful engine, fashion accessories etc.

Next car that has ‘most expensive’ etiquette is Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster with only five of them in the market. The price is little less than 2 millions. Chassis material is carbon titanium and maximum speed is almost 220 miles per hour.

Fastest Plane in the World

Until 1998, the fastest plane in the world was the SR-71 Blackbird. After it had stopped flying, this highly-ranked position belonged to the X-15, which was a part of an experimental program related to the space trips.

Another experimental unmanned aircraft that achieved incredible results is the X-43 A, a ‘scramjet’ that over-topped the previous two, (but it didn’t last long – it was used only once).

Of course, the real sovereign among aircrafts would certainly be the Space shuttle, built by NASA in the early1980s. But it is incomparable in many ways and often seen as a class for itself.

As for the passenger planes, the Concorde has been a world’s number one for a long time. Today it is out of use, so the Citation X took the Concorde’s place. It started flying in the 1990s, and still operates. Not only it is real fast but it’s also well equipped when it comes to comfort. The decision to improve the plane’s interior came around 2003, and by that time this plane has already proved itself as a reliable and powerful machine.

Today the speed is not the only thing that counts. Comfort and all sorts of amenities highly contribute to the price. The more comfort and other stuff like DVDs, LCDs, wireless LAN etc. – the price grows higher. It became a matter of prestige among billionaires to have their own jet.

So jets are being made not only to be powerful machines with incredible capabilities, but also to look classy and offer all the comfort and that money can buy. There is no doubt that the future is bright when it comes to innovations and constant work in order to produce a jet that is even more perfect (and more expensive, but apparently worth of money).

Fastest Bike in the World

A long-lasting debate about what is the fastest bike in the world has been going on for quite some time.

There have been several candidates:

Kawasaki 2X-12R Ninja and its Jpanese relative Suzuki GSX R1000 R Hayabusa with similar capacities to one another; Ducati Desmosedici RR which can reach 320 km/h, with a V4 and nearly 190hp according to some sources; BMW K 1200 S, 16 v, DOHC; Aprilia RSV Mille with 140 hp; Yamaha YZF-R1; Honda CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird; MV Agusta F4 1100 CC, with S4 cylinder and almost 200 hp.

Now, those were the fastest street legal bikes.
But there is one that beats them all: produced by Dodge and first shown in 2003, the Dodge Tomahawk, a concept model. It has a powerful V-10 (2 valves per cylinder) ,8.3 liter engine with nearly 497 hp at 5600 rpm (its maximum is 6000 rpm).

This bike looks like it came right from future. Besides its unique design, it actually has four wheels (two front and two rear). It weighs something about 678 kg.

Tomahawks are hand-built and made on order from a catalog. It costs nearly a fortune – more than US$ 500,000. Initially there were ten bikes produced, and nine of them were sold almost immediately. Now, those nine people are lucky! But if you think that they will be showing off and enjoying the ride freely….you’re wrong because this bike is not street legal.

Nevertheless, the owners are happy, there is no doubt to that. It would be quite an experience just to sit on it, if you can’t ride it! Hypothetically speaking, even if it were street legal, not everyone could ride it, since its performances demand true riding skill – those 497 hp have to be handled properly.
