Fastest Bike in the World
A long-lasting debate about what is the fastest bike in the world has been going on for quite some time.
There have been several candidates:

Kawasaki 2X-12R Ninja and its Jpanese relative Suzuki GSX R1000 R Hayabusa with similar capacities to one another; Ducati Desmosedici RR which can reach 320 km/h, with a V4 and nearly 190hp according to some sources; BMW K 1200 S, 16 v, DOHC; Aprilia RSV Mille with 140 hp; Yamaha YZF-R1; Honda CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird; MV Agusta F4 1100 CC, with S4 cylinder and almost 200 hp.
Now, those were the fastest street legal bikes.
But there is one that beats them all: produced by Dodge and first shown in 2003, the Dodge Tomahawk, a concept model. It has a powerful V-10 (2 valves per cylinder) ,8.3 liter engine with nearly 497 hp at 5600 rpm (its maximum is 6000 rpm).
This bike looks like it came right from future. Besides its unique design, it actually has four wheels (two front and two rear). It weighs something about 678 kg.
Tomahawks are hand-built and made on order from a catalog. It costs nearly a fortune – more than US$ 500,000. Initially there were ten bikes produced, and nine of them were sold almost immediately. Now, those nine people are lucky! But if you think that they will be showing off and enjoying the ride freely….you’re wrong because this bike is not street legal.
Nevertheless, the owners are happy, there is no doubt to that. It would be quite an experience just to sit on it, if you can’t ride it! Hypothetically speaking, even if it were street legal, not everyone could ride it, since its performances demand true riding skill – those 497 hp have to be handled properly.
