Most Expensive House in the World

Can you guess the price of the most expensive house in the world? And who is the lucky owner?

In the last couple of years, there have been several houses tending to get this title.

Former Ecclestone home, and now the property of Lakshmi N Mittal,one of the richest people in the world, is located near London. According to some estimations it is the most expensive house in the world. We can not be sure that it is number 1, but definitely reaches the very top of the list.

Its rival is the Updown Court, which belongs to the Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. No need to write about what the house looks like and what it has – it would take at least an hour to enumerate everything!

Then there is The Villa La Leopolda, Nice, France. It belonged to Bill Gates, but presently it is the home of Roman Abramovich.
And finally, according to the most recent info, the most expensive house in the world is Antilla in Mumbai, the property of Mukesh Ambani, well known billionaire, who occupies fourth place of the Forbes’ world’s richest people list for 2010.

There are no words to describe the looks of this building, which probably costs over a billion. With its 27 floors, it is more a tower. You can only imagine what it includes, and the number of staff needed to take care of it. It was assumed by many that the Anitlla would be built not only for Ambani’s family but would include some office space as well.

But this assumption turned to be wrong – it is intended just for the Ambani’s family: his mother, his wife and their 3 children. Although it is a small number of people for such a huge building, the house won’t be that ‘empty’ – there will be several hundreds of staff working on its maintaining.
